IHC orders CM Punjab to submit response over wheat crisis plea

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar to submit his response over a petition in the wheat crisis.
Along with Usman Buzdar, Federal Minister for National Food Security Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar has also been ordered to respond to a petition.
IHC’s Justice Aamer Farooq conducted the hearing. In the petition, the petitioner made business tycoon Jahangir Khan Tareen respondent as he had played an important role in the formation of agricultural policy and food security.
Advocate Tariq Asad, who is representing the case told the court that the matter was critically important and those who were responsible for the wheat crises should be dealt in accordance with the Law.
Justice Aamer Farooq while wrapping up the hearing directed the petitioner to wait for the respondents’ answer until further proceedings in the case.
