DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A suspected suicide attack in the Darazinda area of Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has killed 11 people and injured more than 30 others.
According to sources, the explosion occurred near an anti-smuggling police checkpoint on the Dera Ismail Khan-Quetta Road when a vehicle loaded with explosives rammed into the checkpoint.

The deceased include six police personnel, two Customs officials, two women and a two-year-old child. More than 30 people, including police personnel, Customs officials and civilians, were injured in the blast and shifted to hospitals for medical treatment.
Sources said the explosion was extremely powerful and caused significant loss of life.
Government officials have linked the incident to terrorism and a possible nexus between militants and criminal elements.
Authorities said an investigation into the attack is underway, with different aspects of the incident being examined in light of previous attacks targeting security forces and civilians.
