Govt strives hard for atomic energy’s promotion: Omar Ayub

Umar Ayub provides detail of gas demand and supply
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister of Energy and Power Omar Ayub Khan has said that the government has strived hard for the promotion of atomic energy.
During a ceremony in the National Electric Power Regularity Authority in Islamabad, The federal minister of Energy said that 60 percent of the energy has been generated in the country after expending dollars.
The energy minister added that while the cost of energy production was much lower by using alternative sources.
According to the Federal Minister of Energy and power, Pakistan has an opportunity of billions of dollars of investment in the power sector and people wanted to invest in the power sector.
A solar power plant of a capacity of 500 MW was announced by Omar Ayub that would be planted with the cooperation of Saudi Arabia in Baluchistan adding that 26000 MW electricity would be distributed in the system from the next year.
Ayub said that the ministry was taking measures to readdress customers’ complaints, however, it was an obligation control distributors to do this.
