KARACHI: The federal government has begun investing mega million in the development issues of Karachi, Hyderabad and Mirpur Khas after Muttahida Quami Movement separated its way.
As per details, several projects have begun in Sindh at the same time.
When the MQM-P) was separated from the government, the federal government took notice of it and approved the investment. The reconstruction and maintenance of the surrounding road network will be completed by 23rd March this year.
The reconstruction of the road network will cost Rs 800 million while the Karachi Mass Transit underground terminal on MA Jinnah Road will be completed by August 25, 2020 at a cost of 2500 million. The work will cost Rs 1500 million and will be completed by June 2020.
Along with this, Manghopir, Jam Chakro Road Road will be completed by June 2021 at a cost of Rs. 1400 million. Interchange is also being constructed on Jinnah Avenue M9, which costs Rs 1800 million and will be completed by June 2021.
Rs.5 billion will be spent through the municipality of Karachi for the construction, maintenance and rehabilitation of 250 km long roads of the city and this project will start in March 2020 and complete by December 2020. Rs 1.6 billion has been allocated for the purchase of 50 state-of-the-art fire tenders for Municipal Corporation of Karachi.
The fire tenders will be handed over to the Municipality by December 2020. One billion rupees projects will be implemented by Mayor Hyderabad for the construction, maintenance, and lining of roads. The project will also begin in March and reach completion in December 2020.
Rs. 1 billion has been earmarked for various projects of Sukkur, Mirpur Khas and Nawabshah and their completion period is December 2020, which the federal government has assured that the aforementioned projects will be completed in a timely manner. Great efforts will be made.
