The government on Friday again extended the digital census date till May 31.
According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the field operation will continue until May 22 while the verification process will continue until May 31.
The bureau has already written a letter to all provinces and directed the administrations to remain active.
Earlier, on Monday, the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) had extended the census date till April 15 on the recommendation of the provincial governments.
On April 5, the bureau said that more than 90 per cent of work was completed in Punjab, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
However, according to official data released, Islamabad and Balochistan lagged significantly behind, with 72% and 62% of work completed so far, respectively.
