Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi tests positive for coronavirus

PESHAWAR: Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has tested positive for the novel coronavirus today (Saturday), asking fans to remember him in prayers. 
Shahid Afridi took to Twitter and said, “I’ve been feeling unwell since Thursday; my body had been aching badly. I’ve been tested and unfortunately, I’m COVID-19 positive. Need prayers for a speedy recovery.”

Several teammates including Mohammad Hafeez, Sohail Tanveer, and Kamran Akmal sent their best wishes to Afridi for a speedy recovery.

Afridi is the second Pakistani cricketer to test positive for COVID-19. Recently, former Pakistan opener Taufeeq Umar had also tested positive. He has recovered from the disease.
Since the Coronavirus outbreak in the country, the former test cricketer has been doing a lot of charity work through his foundation ‘Hope Not Out’. His works had even received the backing of Indian cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh.
