The Punjab government has launched the Punjab Health Connect Program, under which leading overseas Pakistani and foreign specialist doctors and surgeons will provide free treatment to patients at government hospitals across the province.

Launched on the directions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the initiative aims to strengthen Punjab’s public healthcare system through international medical collaboration and improve the quality of healthcare services across the province.

In addition to offering specialized medical care, the visiting doctors and surgeons will train local physicians and medical staff in advanced surgical techniques and modern clinical practices, helping build capacity within the provincial health sector.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said providing healthcare services of international standards in public hospitals was a key commitment of her government.

She said the provincial healthcare system was being transformed in line with global standards.

She added that the Punjab Health Connect Program would help address the shortage of specialist doctors in government hospitals by bringing international expertise and experience to the province, while improving access to quality healthcare for patients.
