ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi in a telephonic conversation with Malaysian counterpart Saifuddin Abdullah discussed bilateral issues.
During the meeting, both foreign ministers shared a mutual interest in maintaining law and order in the region and discussed matters related to the security situation.

Both the foreign ministers agreed to continue the process of consultations on regional peace and stability.
The foreign minister said, “Pakistan attaches great importance to bilateral relations with Malaysia.”
The foreign minister notified Saifuddin Abdullah about the latest situation in Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK).

He said that India has imposed the worst kind of curfew in IoK since August. The foreign minister said that the Kashmiris were looking towards the international community especially the Muslim Ummah to get them released from the Indian oppression.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi praised Abdullah for backing the stance of Pakistan on the Kashmir dispute.

The foreign minister said, “Pakistan gives great importance to its relations with Malaysia.”
