ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has summoned thirteen officers of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to probe bogus allotments of plots and other fraudulent practices.
The federal agency has asked for allotment records from the Land & Rehabilitation Department and the Revenue Department several times and issued the notices after failing to receive them.
CDA is alleged to have illegal allocated several plots in the past year causing losses worth billions. Sources informed that CDA officers are concerned over the probe by the federal agency and have avoid sending the record as bogus allotments could be cancelled if exposed.
The bogus allotments and other fraudulent practices have diminished public trust in the CDA. During the past year, CDA has allegedly issued plots in Sector D-13, I-1, I-11, I-12, I-14, and Sector G-10 of the federal capital. The authority has not commented on the issuance of bogus plots in the area.
