FIA chief receives contempt notice by IHC in video scandal
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) issued a notice to the Director-General of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on a petition seeking to initiate contempt of court proceedings against him and other officials on alleged harassment of the petitioner in violation of a court order on Thursday.
An IHC bench, consisting of Chief Justice Athar Minallah, ordered Wajid Zia to furnish the petition with his remarks.

Meanwhile, the court summoned FIA Assistant Director Ijaz Shaikh to appear in person at the next hearing, who is investigating a case related to the alleged video of former accountability judge Arshad Malik. He instructed FIA officials before the next hearing to submit their written comments.
Advocate Jahangir Jadoon protested to the judge that he was threatened by the FIA despite a court order that barred the agency from harassing him.
Earlier in September, a petition had been filed in the Supreme Court (SC) for review of the decision of the apex court in the Judge Arshad Malik case.
