KARACHI: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a key member of sleeper cell of Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis (RAW) from Karachi.
The suspect identified as Zafar was a former employee of Karachi Fire Brigade and involved in a number of terror incidents and bomb blasts. He was arrested by the Anti-Terror Cell of FIA in Karachi.
Zafar was affiliated with MQM London was given military training by India by Delhi-based Mehmood Siddiqi Group.
He is considered an expert of using sophisticated weapons as well as making bombs. He is reported to have conducted 14 months of military training in India.
In another incident, two suspects of a money exchange firm linked with Havala/Hundi network have also been arrested by the FIA involved in funding a sleeper cell.
