ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Syed Shabbar Zaidi has said that 90 percent revenue collection has been achieved.
Shabbar Zaidi in a tweet said, “So far, FBR’s target for FY2019-20 has been achieved to the extent of 90 percent, that is Rs.580 billion against the target of Rs. 644 billion.”
Alhamdulillah FBR collection in this month is 297.4B despite 8-10 non-working days.

According to him, FBR collection for the month of July stood at Rs 297.4 billion despite 8-10 non-working days on account of Eid-ul-Azha.
Meanwhile, Minister for Economic Affairs Division Hammad Azhar appreciated the positive results by saying, “Excellent results by FBR by achieving 90% of bold revenue target set for them”.
He said that the break down in taxes has shown above 30 percent growth in collection of inland sales and income tax.
Earlier on 28th August, Chairman FBR stated that the number of income tax filers in the country had exceeded to 2.5 million.
