ISLAMABAD: The health condition of former nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan has worsened after contracting COVID-19.
According to state media, Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan’s health condition has worsened after testing positive for COVID-19 on August 26. He was shifted to KRL Hospital in Islamabad on August 26.
His spokesperson said that the former nuclear scientist was later shifted to the COVID-19 ward of a military hospital on August 28 due to his critical condition.
In June 20200, the sister of nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan passed away in Karachi at the age of 81. Razia Hussain Khan was suffering from coronavirus for past several days.
She was buried in Defence graveyard of Karachi. It was further reported that the brother-in-law of Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan had passed away due to coronavirus.
