ISLAMABAD: One suspect was shot dead and another was caught injured during a robbery attempt in Bara Kahu area of Islamabad.
Three armed robbers entered a house in Mohallah Chaudrian and held the family hostage. However, the landlord and his son resisted and opened fire at the criminals.
As a result, one suspect was shot dead and another was caught by occupants, while the third managed to flee from the scene of the incident.
The incident in the wee hours of Sunday morning when armed men entered the house of Javed and held his family hostage. The house owner opened fire while resisting the robbery attempt.
One hoodwinked suspect was shot dead on the spot, while the family nabbed his accomplice. Police reached the scene after receiving information and shifted the dead robber to a local hospital.
The robber who was caught has been shifted to the police station for legal procedures, while efforts are being made to arrest their accomplice.
