WASHINGTON: The number of coronavirus infection cases across the world has surged to 84,978,286 and the pandemic has so far claimed over 1,843,366 lives.
According to the latest data, there are 23,039,104 active cases of coronavirus in the world and more than 60,095,816people have been cured.
The United States is the number one affected country of coronavirus and India is the second. The number of affected patients in the United States has risen to 20,904,701, and 358,682 people have lost their lives. In India, more than 10,324,631 people have been affected and 149,471 have died.
Brazil is the third most affected country by the Coronavirus, with more than 7,716,405 infected and 195,742 people dying.

Russia ranks fourth among countries infected with the coronavirus, with more than 3,212,637 people infected with the virus and a total death toll of 58,002. In Peru, more than 1,018,099 people have been affected, while 37,773 people have lost their lives.
Colombia ranks sixth among countries infected with the coronavirus, with 43,765 deaths and more than 1,666,408 reported cases.
The death toll from coronavirus in South Africa has risen to 29,175, with more than 1,088,889 people affected. More than 1,443,544 people have been affected and 126,851 have died in Mexico.
