An economist is a person who takes into account the needs and comforts of a man with limited resources and makes a plan that can provide all facilities to that person, institution, or country within the same resources as any other person.
Every person, organization or country wants to achieve all their desires or interests within their limited resources. For the last 75 years, economists in Pakistan have had the same cry that Pakistan has very limited resources due to which the country cannot develop and the nation has to be burdened with debt.
This debt burden of billions of dollars that we are seeing today is not a matter of today or tomorrow but a story of the 20th century, since the country was established. . If one debt is not paid, Pakistan has to take another debt.
Then we attribute it to the politicians while the real reason is not the politicians but their policies which can be said to be unclear and ambiguous. Perhaps this is the reason why Pakistan has not been able to develop to date.
Now is the time for the people to ask the politicians why they don’t ask the Finance Minister, Trade Advisor or the Economist why the best planning cannot be done with Pakistan’s limited resources.
The first thing to consider while facing your economic problems is education. The educational institutions of the country have become money-making factories where instead of giving education and training, children are made into parrots by skipping various subjects to give degrees.
Perhaps this is the reason why educated people are unemployed today. If attention is given to education and real educated people are appointed as teachers in the institutions, our children will also get real education. Nowadays children are tested from the age of 3, but have you seen any educational institution that conducts a teacher’s test?
In many schools, teachers are recruited on low salaries who have no passion for teaching and no love for education. Girls become teachers only when they cannot find a job under compulsion, due to which the parents only hear that this child is not studying. That’s why he fails the class.
My personal opinion is that every child who fails is actually failing his teacher. Instead of the child, punishment should be given to the teacher who failed to attract the child towards education, or to the parents who do not pay any attention to the child’s education.
The second most important aspect of economics is to find solutions to real business problems. Traders and entrepreneurs need policies that the government can introduce to meet their basic needs in order to keep the cost of their trade or business to a minimum.
The first thing is to provide cheap electricity to the business community and entrepreneurs, which is the government’s job, not to increase the electricity prices by fabricating various false and true justifications.
This is probably why the government seems helpless to control electricity prices. If the government takes over the power plant and runs it on a no-profit-no-loss basis or keeps profit like salt in flour, then the people of Pakistan will get electricity at a low cost, due to which the people and the business community of Pakistan will benefit.
The second most important need of Pakistan is to provide interest-free loans to skilled workers so that they can move to modern businesses and Pakistan can make a name for itself globally by exporting more and more, which is not an impossible task.
If we need an example, we have Bangladesh, China, Japan and Korea in front of us who have provided all the luxuries and facilities to their new generation so that they can do the latest experiments and bring out such inventions in this world on the basis of which they can develop.
The third most important requirement is that before voting for political people and politicians, the people have to think beyond color, caste, division and all kinds of prejudices that the person we are electing is honest and trustworthy. Along with being trustworthy, is the person educated, skilled, well-mannered and aware of the needs of the poor or not?
When we like Sadiq and Amin, sometimes we don’t see the selfishness of the person. The humanity of this person and the pain of the poor are not seen. It means that we only see one thing and understand that that person is worthy of our vote.
In fact, to become a leader, it is not only necessary, to be honest, and trustworthy, but along with it, patriotism, the pain of the poor, understanding of humanity and thinking for others beyond oneself and taking practical steps are needed.
There is a need to elect purely public leaders and if a politician does not meet the standards of the people, then he should be dismissed from the government. If a politician does not care for the interests of his country’s institutions, cannot protect public interests and basic human rights, or forces the people to go out on the streets to protest, dispute and fight, this will worsen the country’s conditions and his government. Keep going, such people can never develop the country.
