LAHORE:. Police have lodged a first information report (FIR) against a woman for slapping a police officer.
A video of the woman slapping policeman in the Lahore Cantt area went viral on social media. The incident reportedly occured on Saturday night. The case has been registered at the Defence Phase V police station.
Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore had taken notice of the incident and summoned a detailed report from the Assistant Superintendent Police (ASP) Defence .
According to the FIR, the woman and her male friend entered into a brawl with police officers when they were stopped from consuming alcohol in public. The woman got enraged and slapped one of the policemand and hurled abuses.
CCPO lauded the police officers for showing restraint against the woman despite her attack and assured that she will be brought to justice.
