SINDH: A bullet-riddled dead body of Union Council Councilor was found at Garyancho village of Tharparker district on Friday.
According to the police sources, the body was spotted by a passerby and identified as Akbar Ali Lanjo, a resident of Garyancho.
After receiving information, the police reached the spot and shifted the body to Islamkot Taluka hospital for medico legal formalities. Police started investigation.
Meanwhile, two alleged robbers were killed during a police shootout in Jalalpur. according to police after receiving a call on 15 that four armed men had robbed a motorbike, cash and documents from a man.
During checking of suspected persons, the police came across the alleged robbers, who opened fire on the policemen. In retaliation the police also opened fire, in which two of the alleged criminals were injured in firing by their accomplices, police said.
They were arrested by the police and shifted to Hafizabad trauma centre. The injured later succumbed to their injuries at the trauma centre,and were identified as Zohaib and Hamid
Police said the deceased were wanted to police in more than 21 cases including rape and murder of two young boys in Jalalpur Bhattian.
