WASHINGTON: The administration of US President Joe Biden has released a report on the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan, in which the decision regarding the withdrawal is justified.

According to the international media, the summary of the 12-page report states that the US withdrawal from Afghanistan has not weakened American unity or its status on the global level. President Biden still believes that the decision to withdraw from Afghanistan is absolutely correct, the summary maintained.

According to the report, after the Afghan withdrawal, the US now prefers to withdraw in any place where the security situation deteriorates. The lessons learned from the Afghan withdrawal have also been applied in Ukraine and Ethiopia.

The report released by the Biden administration cited neglect, and in some cases deliberate degradation, by the Trump administration.

The report said that the Trump administration only gave a date for the US withdrawal, but did not tell the action plan. The Trump administration’s decisions and the lack of an action plan limited the powers of the Biden administration.

On the other hand, reacting to the report, US ex-President Donald Trump said that the White House is playing a disinformation game.

It should be noted that America withdrew its forces from Afghanistan in 2021 after failing in the 20-year war in Afghanistan.
