RAWALPINDI: A case has been registered against a car driver after a citizen was seen sitting on the bonnet of a moving vehicle on Murree Road.
The case was registered at New Town Police Station on the complaint of Traffic Warden Wahid Akhlaq. The driver has been booked under Sections 279 and 427, while an investigation into the incident is underway.
According to the traffic warden, authorities learned about the incident through a video that went viral on social media. The investigation revealed that the incident occurred on Friday night, when a black car collided with another car and a motorcycle. The driver allegedly fled the scene while a citizen was sitting on the bonnet of the vehicle.
The video, which went viral on social media on September 28, shows a motorcycle trapped under the front portion of the car and being dragged along the road.

Rawalpindi Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Farhan Aslam took notice of the incident and directed the relevant authorities to register a case against those involved. Traffic police said technical means are also being used to identify the vehicle and its driver.
