ISLAMABAD: Weather conditions across Pakistan are set to change as a new spell of westerly winds is expected to enter the upper parts of the country tonight, with its effects likely to continue until October 7, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.
Under the influence of the new weather system, several areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan are expected to receive rain accompanied by strong winds, thunderstorms and gusty weather on October 6 and 7. Hailstorms are also likely at isolated locations.
Weather Situation in Balochistan and Sindh
In Balochistan, rain is expected in Barkhan and Musa Khel during the evening or night of October 6. Meanwhile, most districts of Sindh are likely to experience hot and dry weather over the next few days.
Temperature Drop and Advisory for Farmers
The Meteorological Department has warned that strong winds and hailstorms could damage vulnerable structures and infrastructure. The change in weather may also bring down temperatures by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius.
The department has advised farmers to plan agricultural activities, including harvesting and crop maintenance, in accordance with the latest weather conditions.
