Babar Azam replies to 8-year-old fan’s adorable letter, promises autographs

An eight-year-old cricket fan sent a letter of support for Pakistani skipper Babar Azam that has melted hearts on social media.

A journalist, Alina Shigri, shared a handwritten letter from Mohammad Haroon Suria, an eight-year-old cricket enthusiast to the Pakistan cricketer.

The child sent his best wishes to the Pakistan cricket team for the World Cup, saying he wishes to be captain one day. He also requested captain Babar Azam and the entire cricket team to send their autographs to his residence.

Babar Azam replied to the tweet and thanked the young fan for his support. He also assured the ‘future captain’ to send him the team’s autographs.

“Thank you for such a kind letter for us, champion. I ABSOLUTELY believe in you and you can achieve anything with your focus, belief, and hardwork.”

“You will get your autographs but I cant wait to get YOUR autograph future Captain.”

Babar Azam’s response to the young cricket fan has won praise. Even federal minister Asad Umar joined in saying: “This is even better than your batting @babarazam258 salute’

“The Champion speaks! That is how you win hearts.” said the journalist Aline Shigri, who posted the original tweet  and has also been praised for making the child’s dream come true. 

Another cricket fan tweeted, “You just can’t hate Babar. He wins games on the field, and hearts off the field! What an excellent gentleman representing us globally!”

“Must be the greatest honor ever for that kid! The world’s best batsman wants HIS autograph! Go on, Haroon, make us proud!”
