Rahimyar Khan: A tragic road accident near Sardargarh in Rahim Yar Khan has left several families mourning after a tractor-trolley carrying wedding guests collided with a trailer. At least seven people have lost their lives, while more than 60 others were injured in the devastating crash.

Rescue teams and the district administration immediately responded to the incident and shifted the injured to Sheikh Zayed Hospital, where they are receiving medical treatment.

According to a spokesperson for Sheikh Zayed Hospital, three more critically injured victims succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment, raising the death toll to seven. Medical teams continue to provide treatment to the other injured passengers.

Given the large number of casualties, an emergency was declared at Sheikh Zayed Hospital. Medical staff were placed on alert, and instructions were issued to ensure that the injured receive immediate and comprehensive medical care.

The Deputy Commissioner also visited Sheikh Zayed Hospital, met with the affected families and inquired about the condition of the injured. He expressed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives and directed the relevant authorities to ensure that all possible medical facilities are provided to the victims.

According to rescue officials and the district administration, initial information suggests that the accident may have occurred due to the alleged negligence and carelessness of the trailer driver. However, authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash and establish responsibility.

The incident has cast a pall of grief over the area, while the families of those killed and injured remain deeply distressed. Authorities say further details will emerge once the investigation is completed.
