LAHORE: A local actress was killed by her son allegedly over honour in Hanjarwal area of Lahore.
The actress Samina Naz Khattak also known as Naina Ali was killed by her son Ahmed Sheroze. Police have arrested him for murdering his mother and a case has been registered against him.
Her son had suspected his mother of an illicit relationship and killed her with a sharp object. He managed to flee from the scene of the incident but was eventually arrested.
A police spokesperson said that the suspect was promptly arrested within a few hours and that the murder weapon and a car have been recovered from his possession.
An investigation team formed under Cantonment Superintendent Muhammad Essa Khan told media that Samina Khattak has divorced twice. She was known as Naina Ali in the showbiz industry. He said her son suspected his mother of keeping an illegal relationship and killed her.
