ISLAMABAD: Armed land grabbers in Islamabad have allegedly attacked a team of journalists and citizens after an argument over ‘fake’ plots.
According to details, the journalists and the victims have staged a protest in front of the Aabpara police station after the concerned Station House Officer (SHO) refused to file a complaint against the land grabbers.
The affectees informed that land grabbers produced fake documents for the plots previously cancelled by the CDA in bid to sell them off. They also have alleged the concerned district police of turning a blind eye to the issue.
The affectees informed that the land mafia have illegally sold 100 to 150 ‘fake’ plots to the citizens and have earned billions of rupees. When the journalists arrived for coverage, the land grabbers attacked the journalists also.
The locals demanded that Prime Minister Imran and the CDA chairman take notice of the issue. It should be noted that the IHC had directed to crackdown against the land mafia in the city and ensure recovery of illegally occupied state-owned land in December 2020.
