RAWALPINDI: A 45-year-old man was seriously injured today (Tuesday) after Indian troops once again restored to unprovoked firing at the Line of Control (LoC).

According to Inter-Services Public Relations, Indian Army troops initiated an unprovoked ceasefire violation in Bagsar Sector along the Line of Control targeting the civil population.

The military’s media wing further informed that the injured man was evacuated to a nearby hospital for necessary medical care. “Pakistan Army, responding to unprovoked Indian firing, targeted Indian post which had initiated fire,” ISPR added.

Meanwhile, according to a Foreign Office statement issued last month, India has committed 2,580 ceasefire violations, resulting in the loss of 19 lives and serious injuries to 199 innocent civilians.

Earlier in September, two Pakistani soldiers were martyred as Indian troops resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violations in Dewa Sector along the Line of Control.

Pakistan Army responded and targeted those posts which initiated fire. During an intense exchange of fire, Sepoy Noor-ul-Hassan, and Sepoy Waseem Ali embraced martyred.
