Land illegally occupied in Islamabad’s housing society

ISLAMABAD: The land mafia of the federal capital tried to forcibly occupy 270 kanals of land in Jammu and Kashmir Housing Society.

According to details, the owner of Gulberg Housing Society Allah Rakha Nasir, along with nearly 100 armed men and heavy machinery, attempted to occupy the farmhouse No. 287 and 291 in Sector Zone 4.

The land mafia forcibly demolished the four walls of the said plots with the help of heavy machinery and also attacked two guards of the society, Moin Ashfaq and Asif Hussain. The society’s guards were severely injured and were later shifted to the hospital.

Sources have informed that Allah Rakha Nasir had illegally occupied about 1303 kanals of land in Sector 5 Zone of Jammu and Kashmir Housing Society. The management of the housing society had also filed an application to the concerned authorities, however, no action has been taken yet.

The Koral Police Station has registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the Allah Rakha Nasir on the complaint of the admin officer of the Jammu and Kashmir Housing Society Khalid Mehmood.

Similarly, cases are pending in various courts against the accused on charges of land grabbing by poor people adjacent to Gulberg Housing Society.

The residents of the Jammu and Kashmir Housing Society have appealed to the Prime Minister Imran Khan Chief Justice of Pakistan and Interior Minister Ijaz Shah to take strict action against Allah Rakha Nasir.
