RAWALPINDI: Egyptian Ambassador to Pakistan Dr Tarek Mohamed Dahroug called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), matters of mutual interest and cooperation in various fields were discussed during the meeting. COAS and the ambassador also expressed mutual contentment on the trajectory of the bilateral relations between the two countries.
The visiting dignitary also appreciated Pakistan’s continuous efforts for peace and stability in the region.
On July 22, Qatar Ambassador to Pakistan, Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani had called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi.
According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the newly-appointed Qatar envoy, Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and the army chief had exchanged views on matters related to mutual interest and coordination in different sectors between both countries.
Bajwa congratulated Al Thani for assuming charge of the Qatari Ambassador to Pakistan and had expressed hopes that bilateral ties between both countries will be further strengthened.
The army chief had stressed the establishment of durable peace to ensure regional stability and economic development. The Qatari envoy acknowledged the efforts of the Pakistani government for bringing peace and stability to the region.
