KARACHI: Fresh foreign currency exchange rates were released on Tuesday, with the US dollar holding near Rs278 in the open market, while the British pound was being sold above Rs373 and the euro above Rs322.
According to the open market rates released at 11am on September 29, the US dollar was quoted at Rs277.95 for buying and Rs278.15 for selling.
The British pound was being bought at Rs368.85 and sold at Rs373.25, while the euro was quoted at Rs316.65 for buying and Rs322.45 for selling.
According to the latest figures, the Saudi riyal was being bought at Rs74 and sold at Rs74.55, while the UAE dirham was quoted at Rs75.65 for buying and Rs76.50 for selling.
The Canadian dollar was available at Rs195.09 for buying and Rs202.93 for selling, while the Australian dollar was quoted at Rs195.78 for buying and Rs200.05 for selling.
The Chinese yuan was being bought at Rs38.25 and sold at Rs38.97, while the Japanese yen was quoted at Rs1.7339 for buying and Rs1.8337 for selling.
Meanwhile, fresh foreign currency rates were also released for the interbank market. The US dollar was quoted at Rs277.05 for bank buying and Rs277.55 for bank selling.
In the interbank market, the euro was being bought at Rs314.79 and sold at Rs315.36, while the British pound was quoted at Rs366.86 for buying and Rs367.53 for selling.
The Saudi riyal was quoted at Rs73.75 for bank buying and Rs73.89 for selling. The Swiss franc was being bought at Rs332.68 and sold at Rs333.28, while the Singapore dollar was quoted at Rs216.76 for buying and Rs217.15 for selling.
According to the interbank rates, the Chinese yuan was quoted at Rs41.31 for buying and Rs41.38 for selling. The Canadian dollar was available at Rs195.36 for buying and Rs195.71 for selling, while the Australian dollar stood at Rs194.62 for buying and Rs194.97 for selling.
The Japanese yen was quoted at Rs1.7604 for buying and Rs1.7636 for selling in the interbank market. The Danish krone was available at Rs42.12 for buying and Rs42.19 for selling, while the Swedish krona was quoted at Rs27.90 for buying and Rs27.95 for selling. The Thai baht was being bought at Rs8.24 and sold at Rs8.26.
