KARACHI: Police on Tuesday presented a man in a local court for raping his 14-year-old daughter in Karachi.
According to the police sources, the heartbreaking incident happened in Karachi’s Muhammadi Colony within the jurisdiction of Pirabad Police Station.
Police sources said a woman registered FIR in Pirabad Police Station dated 4th July against her husband for raping 14-years old daughter.
The woman claimed in a police complaint that her daughter has video recording proof of sexual abuse by her father, which she could submit in a court as evidence.
The mother also mentioned in a report that her husband was doing sexual abuse with her daughter for a long time however she remains silent because of humiliation.
On the other hand, police presented the accused before Judicial Magistrate Asif Ali Abbasi, while the accused in front of the magistrate acknowledged his crime of raping daughter.
However, the court has ordered to send accused on three days’ police remand and also directed to give the investigation of the said case to the woman police officer.
Earlier, a man in Karachi had allegedly raped his cousin’s sister in Karachi’s Korangi area, the victim’s family claimed.
According to details, the incident took place two months ago at the victim’s aunt’s home. The man had been identified as Kashif Jamali. The victim’s mother informed that Kashif Jamali brutally raped her daughter and threatened to kill her.
The victim’s mother had claimed that she tried to file a case against the accused but her brother, who is a police officer, took a bribe from the Kashif’s family and pressurize them to suppress the case.
The victim’s mother had appealed to Governor Sindh, Chief Minister Sindh, and Inspector-General of Police (IGP) to take action against the culprits and provide justice to her daughter.
