The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) announced on Wednesday that it had arrested four suspects in Karachi, including two officials of the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra), for allegedly issuing fake identity documents to Afghan nationals.

According to an FIA spokesperson, those arrested were Nadra Assistant Director Imamul Haq, Deputy Assistant Director Fayyaz Ahmed, Nadra watchman Junaid Ahmed, and private agent Muhammad Umar Shah.

Authorities said they recovered key records and other evidence during the operation, while expanding the scope of the investigation.
