ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said no toll tax will be charged in the Strait of Hormuz for the next 60 days under a key decision.

In an interview with Al Arabiya TV, Dar said Pakistan has succeeded in bringing the United States and Iran together for talks for the first time in 47 years. He added that Pakistan made the major mediation successful with the support of other partners.

Ishaq Dar said the war between the US and Iran was extremely destructive and had severe negative effects on the economy. Three technical teams are participating in the important negotiations between the US and Iran, he said. The technical committees are discussing Iran’s nuclear issue and the return of frozen assets.
