An Anti-Terrorism Court in Turbat has sentenced a man to 14 years in prison after convicting him in a terrorism-related case, court officials said.
Authorities said the convict was arrested in Panjgur during a security operation, where weapons and explosive materials were recovered from his possession.
Investigators alleged that he was involved in facilitating recruitment and radicalisation activities linked to banned militant organisations, including BLA and BLF.
Officials further claimed he was connected to networks operating through proxy groups and was involved in encouraging and recruiting students for militant outfits.
He was also accused of having links with foreign-backed networks and of being assigned tasks related to preparing vehicles for potential suicide attacks, according to officials.
In addition to the 14-year sentence under anti-terrorism charges, the court also handed him an additional seven-year sentence under the Balochistan Arms Act.
Security officials said the conviction marks a significant development in ongoing counterterrorism operations in the province, with actions against facilitators and networks continuing.
