Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz inaugurated the National School of Excellence in Chakwal. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also distributed Honahar Scholarships and laptops among students.
According to details, Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz reached Chakwal and, while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the National School of Excellence, the Chief Minister said that I had become busy with work due to the flood. I congratulate the students who received laptops and scholarships.
While addressing the inaugural ceremony, Maryam Nawaz said that the students of Chakwal have made their parents proud. This is your right which you should get. Chakwal was included in my priority list. Last year, we gave 30,000 scholarships. This year, we will take the scholarships to 80,000.
While addressing the ceremony, Maryam Nawaz said that someone said the ceremony should be held in Rawalpindi. I said it has already been done there. In my view, Chakwal has the same importance as other cities. When my father faced difficult times, I stood with him fully. I had to go to jail twice without fault. It is the government’s responsibility to reach the doors of capable and intelligent children.
During her address, Maryam Nawaz said that after Panama, her father faced many difficulties. I joined politics in 2011 and contested my first election in 2024. I did not wish to become a politician. When I saw the crime rate here, I was shocked. I have controlled crime in Punjab.
Maryam Nawaz said that when I took the oath as Chief Minister, the law and order situation in the province was alarming. I had never lived without an AC. In June and July, the prison cell was burning like an oven. At home, politics was always discussed. When difficult times came upon my father, many people hid and left his side.
