Deputy Commissioner (DC) Khurram Parvez has ordered an inquiry into the actions of the Sadiqabad Municipal Committee (MC) after a viral video surfaced, showing the administration puncturing the tires of vehicles parked in no-parking areas.

The footage captures four MC employees, under the supervision of Sadiqabad Assistant Commissioner (AC) Raashid Iqbal Maywati, puncturing the tires of cars, rickshaws, and motorcycles across various roads in Sadiqabad.

In the video, the AC is seen stepping out of his official vehicle and instructing MC employees to puncture the tires of parked cars, even while drivers were present inside.

Following his orders, the employees used bodkins to deflate all the tires of some cars. The AC then directed them to puncture the tires of motorcycles parked outside a commercial center, as well as those of a rickshaw and a loader.

The incident sparked public outrage, with citizens questioning which law authorized an AC to damage private vehicles under the guise of an anti-encroachment operation.
