With her newfound popularity, large crowds and influencers have flocked to her stall, leaving her struggling to carry out her work.
In a recent video, Monalisa recounted an incident where a group of men entered her tent under false pretenses, claiming her father had sent them to take pictures with her. “I refused and told them to speak to my father if he had sent them. I wouldn’t take pictures with them,” she shared. When her brother attempted to delete the photos from their phones, the men reportedly attacked him. “Nine men beat him up,” she revealed, adding, “I am scared. There’s no electricity here, and anyone could harm me.” Her father later confronted the men, denying any involvement in the matter.

Monalisa’s grandfather has also voiced concerns over the impact of the attention on her daily life. “She is very upset here in Prayagraj. People keep following her, clicking pictures, and talking, making it impossible for her to sell garlands,” he explained.
