Lahore: A team of Punjab police on Friday reached Zaman Park, residence of PTI chairman Imran Khan, for search operation against alleged terrorists hiding in the house.
Punjab’s Interim Government has claimed that there are about 40 terrorists hinging inside the residence of Imran Khan.
Earlier on Friday Punjab Police obtained warrants from court to carry out a search at Imran Khan’s residence in the provincial capital.
The development comes after the Punjab government decided to send a team to hold talks with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership before conducting the search operation at zaman Park.
According to details, an officer of the rank superintendent of police will lead the party which will also include lady personnel. commissioner Lahore Division will accompany the search team.
The Punjab government on Wednesday had claimed that “30-40 terrorists were hiding inside Imran Khan’s residence” and gave 24 hours to PTI to hand over these miscreants or face action.
However, no action was taken after the deadline expired on Thursday.
