PM Shehbaz Sharif directed that the provinces ensure timely delivery of wheat from their own and Pascoag Reservoir to various flour mills and improve the delivery governance. The government is taking steps to reduce the price of wheat and flour, he said.
Describing the government’s performance as satisfactory, he said that a 40 kg bag became cheaper by more or less 1000 rupees due to the government’s measures. “The concerned authorities should take strict action against the hoarders of flour and wheat. Profiteers will surely be punished,” the prime minister said.
