LAHORE: Around 186 members of the provincial assembly have given a vote of confidence to Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, ending the ongoing political crisis and confrontation in the province.
According to the details, the Punjab CM received a vote of confidence from 186 members. Meanwhile, opposition parties including Muslim League (N) boycotted the voting and walked out of the House.
According to the constitution, the speaker of the Punjab Assembly rang the bells to call the members to the house and the meeting was adjourned till 12:00 pm. Speaker Sabatin Khan read out the official decree and directed the ministers to submit the resolution.
Senior Minister of Punjab Raja Basharat and Mian Aslam Iqbal presented the resolution in the House regarding obtaining the vote of confidence. Before the proceedings, the bells rang for 5 minutes, and then the doors of the House were also closed.

Voting started after the presentation of the resolution during which all the members of the Punjab Assembly voted using their right to vote. When the resolution was presented, the opposition made a big fuss.
The opposition surrounded and the members walked out of the House raising slogans. The opposition protested outside the House and also kicked and broke the lobby door, but the proceedings of the House continued.
After the counting of votes, Speaker Punjab Assembly announced the success of taking the Chief Minister’s vote of confidence, along with which PTI members congratulated Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi by playing dice.

During the speech, the Chief Minister also thanked Hammad Azhar, Fawad Chaudhry, Zulfi Bukhari, and Hafiz Farhat Nawaz. “I am telling you not to panic from the first day. 60 thousand jobs are being given,” he said.
Punjab Chief Minister said, “We will do so much work that the name of the Muslim League (N) will disappear. Ehsaas program will go ahead. 1 million jobs will be given to youth on laptops. If you catch them, they get sick.”
Chaudhry Parvez Elahi said, “These people become restless as soon as they go out of Pakistan. The federal government doubled inflation. A health card is the best move. Free treatment facilities will be provided. The PML-N will not be seen for doing good work.”
