Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt finally shared much-awaited pictures from her Mehendi ceremony with husband Ranbir Kapoor in latest social media post, adding to the surprise and joy of adoring fans who were not yet over the gorgeous wedding photos.
The couple looked ecstatic as they enjoy their vibrant Mehendi to the fullest! Alia and Ranbir’s pre-wedding event was seemingly more spirited as compared to their rather elegant and simple wedding.
The Gangubai actor posted photos from the event along with a heartfelt caption describing her special day. “The mehndi was like something out of a dream. It was a day full of love, family, our beautiful best friends, a lot of French fries, a surprise performance by the ladkewalas [guy’s side of the family], Ayan playing DJ, a BIG surprise organised by Mr. Kapoor (my favourite artist performed my favourite songs) — all followed by some happy tears and quiet, blissful moments with the love of my life.”

The bride and groom wore fuchsia pink Manish Malhotra ensembles for their Mehendi. Alia opted for a lehenga choli – sans dupatta, while Ranbir looked handsome in a matching shalwar kameez with the same coloured waistcoat.
For her makeup, Alia followed her quintessential no-makeup look. She completed her look with an elaborate teeka, some floral jewellery and her hair in a soft tie.

Ranbir kept his late father, Rishi Kapoor, close as well. The actor carried Rishi’s picture during the ceremony.
The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony at their residence in Vastu, Mumbai on April 14. The couple, clad in matching ivory and gold Sabyasachi ensembles, looked ecstatic as the bride shared glimpses from their wedding. Taking to Instagram, Alia penned, “Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home in our favourite spot – the balcony we’ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship – we got married.”
The intimate wedding was done in the presence of family members and close friends. The star couple, who has been in a relationship for over 5 years, took the plunge in a traditional Punjabi wedding ceremony. For the big day, guests arrived in colour coordinated outfits.
