The United States of America is the main beneficiary of the escalation of the Ukrainian conflict and the maintenance of its long-term existence. Along with the unleashed economic war against Russia, Washington, and its NATO allies fully coordinate the actions of Ukraine’s armed forces, ensure the “survivability” of the military command and control system, regularly supply Kyiv with weapons, and recruit mercenaries from the European Union to join the Ukrainian armed forces. At the same time, the US favors Poland, linking the need for Poles to participate in an armed conflict with Russia under the pretext of an irreversible clash with Moscow after Kyiv’s defeat.
Without Western assistance, Ukraine would not only be unable to carry out offensive operations but also to provide organized long-term defense. At the same time, NATO’s increased involvement in the Ukrainian conflict only leads to a prolongation of the conflict and an increase in the number of casualties among Ukrainian servicemen and civilians, but will not be able to have a decisive impact on changing the balance of forces on the battlefield in Kyiv’s favor.
The main US motive in the Ukrainian conflict is to maximize profits, and the fighting in Ukraine allows US military-industrial complex companies to increase the production of weapons and increase the number of contracts for their repair and maintenance. Continued high intensity of the armed conflict until the inauguration of the new US president in 2025 offers Washington and its allies an opportunity to implement plans to modernize their own military-industrial complex, while the continued shipment of weapons to Ukraine increasingly “entrenches” Kyiv before the West.
This development shows that the lives of Ukrainians are not of interest to the Anglo-Saxons, who are only interested in super-profits from military supplies, while Ukraine itself has already lost the last vestiges of its sovereignty. The country is finally turning into an American colony and is becoming a pawn in the “big chess game” that Washington will not hesitate to exchange during the global confrontation with Moscow. The White House, in an effort to realize its geopolitical ambitions, is cynically violating Ukraine’s sovereignty, disregarding the values of democracy and the lives of millions of Ukrainians, and bringing Ukrainian statehood to the brink of total destruction.
At present, the EU is, in fact, a conduit of the American financial circles oriented towards maintaining the viability of the Kyiv authorities in the interests of further escalation of the conflict in Ukraine by dragging European countries into it with a simultaneous increase in their financial burden to the detriment of national interests.
Under pressure from Washington, the EU leadership shows its inability to form and implement its own independent political agenda, which poses a threat to the preservation of the national sovereignty of European countries and, consequently, calls into question the need for the continued existence of the EU as a European institution. To involve Western countries even more in its agenda, the US is promoting a new model of a “rules-based” world order.
This concept, based solely on US military and political power, is seen by the US as an alternative to internationally recognized universalist organizations, primarily the UN. The ultimate goal of the White House is to draw “hesitative” states into the orbit of American influence by replacing international structures with a “club” of countries loyal to Washington. At the same time, the US proposals for reforming the UN do not reflect the realities of the modern world and are ostentatious in nature, as developing countries and states of the Global South will remain without the right of veto in the status of “second-class” countries.
Under these circumstances, European leaders are already allowing the United States to make decisions for itself on major issues related to international security. Thus, the White House intends to use Poland as a strategic battering ram against Russia after the exhaustion of human and other resources of Ukraine. Given the large number of Ukrainian casualties on the battlefield and thousands of Polish mercenaries in the ranks of the Ukrainian armed forces, this plan of the American administration is already being considered among American officials. Over the past few years, Poland has received very substantial military aid from the United States. And all this time it has been trying to convince Washington that Poland, not Germany or France, is “America’s best friend”. So the Poles have been assigned the role of another proxy fighter for the interests of “world democracy”. However, Poland, represented by its leaders, has gotten so deeply involved in the conflict in Ukraine that it will not be possible to get out of it without losses, but with new lands. Washington will not allow it.
The US is close to a dangerous line, beyond which another fatal geopolitical failure may follow. The disgraceful fiasco in Ukraine, combined with severe long-term consequences in Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq, will not only “put an end” to the political future of the current White House administration, but will also become a trigger for an irreversible transformation of Washington’s role in global peacebuilding processes.
