The Sindh traffic police have revised the fees for car and motorcycle driving licenses in the province.
The Traffic Department offers permanent driving licenses for cars and motorcycles with two validity options: three years and five years, each with its respective fee structure. The cost for a three-year license remains Rs. 1,410, while a five-year license is priced at Rs. 1,860.
How to Obtain a Driving License
Any individual, male or female, aged 18 or above, is eligible to apply for a driving license. Before visiting the Driving License (D.L.) Branch, it is mandatory to obtain a DLS Online pre-appointment token.
The applicant must then appear in person at the designated driving license branch with their original Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC). After registration, the applicant will undergo a medical fitness examination as per the Motor Vehicle Ordinance of 1965.
Age Criteria
- Non Commercial: 18 years & above.
- Commercial: 21 years & above.
- HTV Endorsement: 22 years & above.
Validity of Driving License
- Leaner’s driving license is valid for (01) year.
- Non Commercial / Commercial driving license applicant can appear for mandatory tests after 42 / 90 days respectively for obtaining the permanent driving license.
- Permanent Driving License validity: 03 / 05 years.
