QUETTA: The Counter Terror Department of Balochistan conducted an intelligence based operation in Mastung, killing five terrorists on the spot. The terrorists were reportedly planning to to attack pilgrims and security forces.

Reports gathered by MM News revealed that the CTD along with security forces raided Qabu area in Mastung, Balochistan, after which an exchange of fire took place.

Officials said that the exchange of fire, which continued till late night in the Splinji Mountains, took place in the same area where a roadside bomb explosion had recently claimed several lives.
Five terrorists were killed in the battle while three security forces personnel sustained injuries, officials said, adding that heavy consignment of arms and ammunition was seized during the search of their hideouts.
