Zardari’s health condition worsens as platelet count drops

ISLAMABAD: Health condition of former president Asif Ali Zardari became worsened as platelet-count has dropped critically.
Platelets also known as thrombocytopenia, is a condition characterized by abnormally low levels of thrombocytes in the blood.
A normal human platelet count ranges from 150,000 to 450,000 platelets per microliter of blood.
According to Dr. Azra, condition had Asif Ali Zardari worsened as he had to travel from jail to city court in a protection van.
When asked regarding treatment in Pakistan or abroad, she said that it was very unfortunate that there was not a single spinal cord surgeon in Pakistan.

It is to be noted here that Asif Zardari has been suffering from acute spinal cord pain.
Earlier on 23rd October, Zardari was shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) regarding diagnostic and management investigation.
On Thursday, Zardari was advised by the medical board to remain hospitalised for another two days for further treatments.

He has been under depression and suffering from severe physical weakness.
The sources from the hospital revealed that the sugar level of Zardari could not be restored to normal, meanwhile, complaints of his neck and backaches remained unchanged.
