Zaman Park operation: Rana Sanaullah claims clearing ‘No Go Area’

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has claimed that a ‘No Go’ area has been cleared during the course of operation at Zaman Park, the residence of PTI Chairman Imran Khan as he dashed to Islamabad to attend court proceedings in connection with Toshakhana Case.

PTI has refuted all claims made by the Interior Minister and Punjab caretaker governments by posting footage and other multi-media evidences on social media.

Dr Uzma, sister of Imran Khan told media that Police didn’t show any search warrant to her.

Talking to different media outlets, the interior minister claimed that that the police did not enter the residential area of Zaman Park, and the operation had to be undertaken as the aera had become a ‘no-go zone’.

However, MM News received videos purporting to show effects of alleged ransacking once the operation was over.

Rana Sanaullah alleged that local residents were faced with multiple difficulties due to encroachments around the former premier’s residence at Zaman Park, adding that Punjab police inspector general (IG) would soon hold a presser to give details.

Meanwhile, Punjab Caretaker Information Minister Amir Mir claimed that the operation was carried out against the people involved in the assault on policemen.

He went on to claim that firing was done on the police from inside Zaman Park and firebombs were also thrown from the other side of the residence’s boundary wall.
