The Good Doctor, the drama featuring a genius surgeon with autism and savant syndrome finally ended after a good seven seasons of trying medical cases and personal ups and downs.
The Good Doctor’s series finale which aired on Tuesday, May 21 showcased Dr. Shaun Murphy, played by Freddie Highmore dramatically wrestling one more life from the jaws of death in the series finale of the ABC medical drama which is also streaming on Netflix.
One of the biggest shocks in the series’ conclusion was the patient Shaun could not save.

‘Good Doctor’ season 1 saw this high-stakes scenario before, with very different results.
In the Season 1 finale, Shaun went on a mission to find a cure for Glassman’s terminal brain cancer diagnosis. Glassman was ready to give up, however, Shaun couldn’t stop obsessing about the medicine in that case, and in Season 1 he was right and found a way that Glassman could be saved.
In the finale, Shaun pondered a medical solution for Glassman.
Aaron Glassman, the mentor and father figure who fought to hire Shaun at San Jose St., had brain cancer again which kills him eventually in the finale.
