CALIFORNIA: The WhatsApp application has also introduced a ‘Dark Mode’ for Android and IOS platforms like other apps.
Recently, the company introduced a dark mode enabled in the application to reduce eye strain in low light environments.
According to the research from WhatsApp, Users on Android 10 and iOS 13 can use dark mode by enabling it in system settings. Android users can go into WhatsApp Settings > Chats > Theme > select ‘Dark’.
The news came after several months when Facebook started working on a dark mode for WhatsApp, but the update never appeared on the application.
Last month, a major security update on WhatsApp, users around the world have old devices with outdated software unavailable to use the messaging app from 1st February 2020.
Any mobile devices running IOS 8 or older and Android version 2.3.7 or older will not be supported by the tech giant’s new update. The company made measures to ensure the security of its 1.5 billion users.
