Senator Faisal Vawda has created a buzz in the political sphere, strongly hinting that a major press conference not to be delivered by any government minister is scheduled for today, Friday.
Speaking to ARY News on Thursday, Vawda stated, āEverything will become clear tomorrow [today] what is happening and how things will move forward.ā
The senator promised a sharp state response against “filthy statements” and “harmful narratives” being circulated recently.
He asserted that the state would deal with those he called “insects damaging the country,” claiming they would soon face consequences.
Vawda emphatically declared that the era of “negative, cheap, and abusive politics will be buried,” promising that a “new phase for Pakistan” will begin this morning following the expected briefing.
He congratulated the nation on the appointment of the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), calling it a significant development.
Vawda issued a thinly veiled warning to political figures, noting the potential disqualification hanging over some.
He mentioned that efforts are underway to curb the influence of individuals abroad who are criticizing Pakistan, adding that a key meeting on this matter with Mohsin Naqvi took place recently.
In a final remark, Vawda urged political actors to adopt a positive approach, cautioning that while many problems were set to be resolved, “one hopes politics itself doesnāt end up buried in the process.”
