The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) has unveiled a brand-new Dh100 banknote crafted from durable polymer.
This latest addition boasts modern designs and cutting-edge security features, making it a notable part of the CBUAE’s Third Issuance of the National Currency Project.
On one side, the note showcases the Um Al Quwain National Fort, a symbol of the UAE’s rich heritage, while the reverse side depicts the Port of Fujairah.
Starting March 24, the new note will circulate alongside the existing Dh100 notes. Banks and exchange houses have been instructed to update their cash machines and counters to accept the new polymer notes, which, like their paper counterparts, hold their full legal value.

Polymer notes, known for their durability and sustainability, last at least twice as long as traditional paper notes.
The new Dh100 banknote also incorporates prominent Braille markings, ensuring that blind and visually impaired users can easily recognize its value.
