The United Arab Emirates has imposed a ban on visit and work visas for 9 countries.
According to a foreign news agency, the UAE has banned citizens of 9 African and Asian countries from applying for tourist and work visas.
The countries on which the UAE has imposed the ban include Uganda, Sudan, Somalia, Cameroon, Libya, Afghanistan, Yemen, Lebanon, and Bangladesh. Pakistan is currently not included in this list.
According to the immigration circular, visa applications from these countries have been suspended until further notice, and no new tourist or work visa processes are being carried out for them.
UAE officials have not officially explained the decision to suspend the visas; however, it is reportedly due to security concerns and diplomatic tensions. It is worth noting that the UAE has imposed similar bans on some countries in the past.
